Sunrise at Nam Nao
Just a beautiful sunrise in the mountains of Nam Nao National Park
Nam Nao is a small place in North-East Thailand and the name of a National Park. Traveling over route 12 from Chumphae to Lomsak you will travel over a mountain range and passing Nam Nao National Park. This area, part of Loei / Petchabun province is a great place for traveling off the beaten track in Thailand. For hotels in Loei province have a loot at AGODA
We are having a few beautiful days in the end of the raining season in Nan, North-Thailand. So I made a early motorbike trip around in the northern part of Nan province. Sorry no photo of my motorbike. I not really understand that ... if you want to see my motorbike have a look at the Kawasaki website and look for the Z250. But the area in Nan - Thailand is worth to make photos. I love riding in the early morning!
Here a copy of the map of tourist attractions from the TAT of Loei.

I love the be out in the early morning and although we are still in the raining season the mornings start to feel like in the cool season with some fog and clouds around the mountains of Doi Phu Kha in Pua. The rice is growing fast now and in 4 weeks it will be harvesting time.
This morning we went to the Wat Phuket in Pua to make tamboon (offering to the monks). Unfortunately we were just to late to see the sun climbing over the skyline of the Doi Phu Kha mountains. With the name of this temple you might be thinking of a famous beach resort in South-Thailand but Phu means mountain and Ket is the name of the village nearby. I love the early mornings in the mountains of Nan in North Thailand.
While driving from Chumphae to Lomsak over route 12 you are more or less going thru Nam Nao National park. And while following this beautiful twisty road thru the beautiful mountains you are passing a "Sunrise viewpoint" at Phu Kho. Going to Lomsak it is on your right hand side and there are some (small) signs. Don't drive to fast and you have to come very early! You can park your car down at the beginning of a short but steep walking path up-to the actually view point.
